Clash for Windows

Clash for Windows appears in many older tutorials because its interface was widely used. It follows the original Clash ecosystem, so its configuration paths differ from modern mihomo clients. This site keeps an archived download mainly for restoring existing environments, migrating configurations and locating controls referenced in older guides.
It should not be preferred for a new installation merely because tutorial screenshots look familiar. The original core cannot cover some later extended configuration fields, and discontinued maintenance means new system changes will not be supported. When migrating to a modern client, export the configuration and overrides first, then check the proxy port, DNS, rule providers and script settings.

Clash Meta for Android targets Android devices and uses the Clash Meta ecosystem. Common controls include configuration import, run mode, per-app proxying and network settings. Per-app routing is especially useful on mobile for separating browser, messaging and local application traffic.
Its maintenance pace is relatively slow, so check compatibility with the current Android version before choosing it. If Android restricts background activity, the connection may drop when the screen is locked or battery saving is active; this is usually related to system battery policy rather than a failed subscription. For reliable background operation, also check VPN permissions and battery optimization settings.

If a subscription includes mihomo-specific extension fields, check after import whether they were recognized; successful import alone does not prove that the configuration is complete. For a first Android proxy setup, the Clash ecosystem in Clash Plus or Clash Meta for Android is easier to follow with general tutorials. Surfboard is better treated as an alternative once the configuration source is well understood.

ClashX Meta is a macOS menu bar client built on the Clash Meta ecosystem. Its short menu bar workflow suits legacy environments that are already set up and only need configuration or proxy-mode switching. It is no longer maintained and remains here as an archived option.
For a new macOS installation, compare Clash Plus, Clash Verge Rev and FlClash first. Before migrating, record the current port, proxy mode, DNS and enhanced-mode settings, and confirm whether the old client wrote the system proxy automatically. Deleting the old app while leaving its system proxy in place can prevent browsers from connecting.
